What's on

Foods from Spain is organizing a series of Spain’s Day Webinars in three top culinary schools in the United States:  Spain’s day program will be broken down into three individual and private webinars. The first webinar will be held at the Florida International University on October 13th. The following Spain’s day webinar will take place on November 12th at the Seattle Culinary Academy. The final one will be at the Culinary Institute Le Notre, which is scheduled for November 18th.

Each webinar will showcase some of Spain’s most emblematic ingredients, such as, sherry vinegar, ibérico ham, cheese, extra virgin olive oil and canned foods. The renowned chef and proprietor of  Canela, one of the best Spanish restaurants in San Francisco, Mat Schuster will instruct students via a virtual workshop session (Zoom) on how to prepare  tapas and pintxos. Fifty students at each school will receive a kit of ingredients from Spain that will be used to prepare the dishes. The objective of these online events is to teach future chefs about Spanish gastronomy, culinary techniques and Spain’s emblematic ingredients.

All three culinary schools participating in this year’s Spain’s Day program offer various degree programs, including Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, etc.
