The seven wines come from leading wine regions such as Toro DO, DOCa Rioja, DOCa Priorat and Ribera del Duero DO, and also include a wine from Cava DO and a Jerez DO reference
Spain is known for its exceptional wines and extensive variety, with outstanding wines being produced across all of its designations of origin. This year, the results in the Decanter awards were outstanding, with 7 wines in the Best in Show category; 17 in the Platinum category; 89 entries in Gold; 945 in Silver, and 1,059 entries in Bronze.
Particularly significant are the seven Spanish wines that placed among the 50 best wineries worldwide: World Wine Awards 2024 Best in Show. It is a highly coveted honor that pitted more than 18,000 wines against each other, and the top 50 represent about 0.28% of the wines tasted in the entire competition.
