Spanish Spirits Win Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals at the IWSC

Dozens of spirits from Spain received distinctions at the highly prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition

The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) has officially drawn to a close and, more than a competition, it’s easily the most respected wine and spirits community, in view of its influence, personal approach, and expertise. 

The goal of this event is to celebrate the very best wines from across the globe, provide business support, and to bring the community together to promote growth and share expertise.

Several spirits from Spain took home distinctions. Gold medals went to Destilerías Arehucas for its 12 YO and its 18 YO Selección Familiar Rum; Miguel Torres SA for its 15 Reserva Privada Brandy, its 20 Hors d’Age Brandy, and its Jaime I Brandy; Licor 43 Chocolate Cream Liqueur; and Emilio Lustau Solera Gran Reserva Family Reserve 1/5 Brandy de Jerez, among others.

Silver medals went to the following spirits: Bodegas Fundador Supremo 18 YO Oloroso Sherry Cask Brandy de Jerez; Bodegas Williams & Humbert Gran Duque de Alba XO Brandy de Jerez; González Byass Lepanto Solera Gran Reserva Pedro Ximenez Brandy de Jerez; and Destilería Santa Cruz Macaronesian White Gin, among others.

Bronze medal winners included Miguel Torres SA Magdala; González Byass Nomad Reserve 10 YO Triple Cask Whisky; Bodegas Fundador Sherry Cask Brandy de Jerez; and Grupo Osborne 1866 Brandy de Jerez.
