Swedish journalist Thomas Gustafsson has published a new book, combining a detailed history of Spanish food and culture, complete with recipes

A new book on Spanish gastronomy is now available to Spanish food fans and it comes from Thomas Gustafsson, the Swedish journalist specialized in Spain.

His book, entitled Spains Seven Cuisines: ¡Buen Provecho!, offers a look at the country’s food culture throughout 7 different regions: Andalusia, Valencian Community, Galicia, Catalonia, the Basque Country, the Canary Islands, and Castile-León.

Gustafsson writes about each region’s unique gastronomy, and as it’s clear that Spain’s history has left its mark on the country’s culinary culture. He talks in depth about jamón ibérico and olive oil, he reveals the secrets behind Spain’s incredible wines, and he shares the importance of tapas and sharing small plates of food.

Spain has one of the most exciting national gastronomies in the world and Thomas dives deep into it, sharing not only historical facts, but also delicious recipes and stellar photographs.

He shares 40 simple and more complex recipes featuring some of Spain’s best ingredients, from shellfish and fish to vegetables. But most importantly, those recipes reflect the 7 gastronomic regions and tell the story about life, tradition, and culture in Spain.

Gustafsson has lived and worked for half of his life in Spain and he has written many books about the country and its cuisine.
