Desafia meets Food 4 Future at Get In The Ring Bilbao.
ICEX encourages the internationalization of the Spanish foodtech sector during the second edition of the Food 4 Future Fair which will take place in Bilbao from May 17 to 19.
Food 4 Future - Expo Foodtech Food is the leading international event of the sector in Spain, where professionals from the entire value chain of the food sector will meet and present the latest foodtech solutions for the different segments of the food industry.
In addition, it will host the Food 4 Future World Summit, the largest European congress in which attendees will discover the latest trends, success stories and tools to transform the food and beverage industry.
Under the topic "The Foodtech Revolution", the second edition of Food 4 Future aims to position Spain FoodTech Nation brand at an international level giving the opportunity to professionals from all the food industry value chain to find their technological partner to drive innovation throughout their operating model.
ICEX, in its commitment to internationalization, will actively participate by developing different actions:
In the Congress aspect, by inviting international speakers from Israel, Norway, Ireland and the Netherlands, and taking advantage of being a guest country, top-level representatives of investment funds, academics from Wageningen University and the main international corporations based in the country will be participating.
In the exhibition part, with the new stand SPAINFOODTECH, the DESAFIA NL program will be highlighted with the participation of the 14 companies of the first two editions, who will participate in matchmaking activities with investors and corporations visiting the fair, as well as participate in a showdown "Get in the ring", in which they will compete against startups presenting their innovative projects.
- Matchmaking with DESAFÍA companies: May 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Get in the Ring: May 18 from 10:00 to 12:00 h.
Get in the Ring Bilbao will bring together the top Spanish impact startups in the food domain and relevant scaling partners for the Matchmaking Day.
During the Matchmaking Day, the startups from Desafía 2021 and 2022 will meet relevant partners in 30 minutes 1-on-1 meetings. This will give the startups and the partners the opportunity to get to know each other and discuss how they can provide value to one another.
On 18 May, the best 2 solutions will have the opportunity to gain exposure and prove themselves during our classic pitch Get in the Ring Battle in front of hundreds of other startups, corporates, governments and impact investors at ICEX’s booth in the Food4Future Summit. The winner will get a ticket to the Global Meetup 2022 to meet their next business partners!
