From Spain with Love 2020

MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture food and fisheries), ICEX / Foods and Wines from Spain in the Netherlands, organizes “From Spain with Love 2020“. It concerns an activity in which tasting samples of Spanish wines are sent to a select group of Dutch opinion leaders, including mainly writers specialized in wine and gastronomy.

Given the current situation caused by Covid-19, it is less convenient for specialized press to visit activities such as tastings, fairs, missions, etc.. We would like to keep informed the Dutch wine professionals about the trends in Spanish wines. That is why the opinion leaders receive a “From Spain with Love 2020“ wine box. In this way they can, taste a selection of Spanish wines in their own environment. After receiving the wines the journalists are encouraged to write columns, blogs, etc. about the wines they have tasted.

In previous editions, this activity was positively received by opinion leaders from the wine sector. Several articles were published in response to earlier editions of "From Spain with Love". This activity contributes to the fact that Spanish wines are more top of mind among Dutch wine professionals.

The 12 participating wines are distributed in the Netherlands throughout importers who supply speciality shops and / or the catering channel on the Dutch market.
