Spanish organic vineyards occupy the largest area in the world. Spain has a lot to offer in terms of organic winemaking. More than 1,000 (1,033) wineries have official ecological certificate. The tasting will be commented by Michał Stykowski, the only Spanish Wine Scholar in Poland and a great supporter of bio products.
Spain is the first country in the world in terms of organic farming area. Already in 2016, this area exceeded 2 million hectares, and currently amounts to 2,354,916 hectares.
20% of Spain's organic crops, 121,279 hectares, are vineyards. Spain is thus a world leader in organic viticulture. Organic certified wines are not only the result of organic farming. It is also about specific enological practices and packaging regulations. By choosing this type of wines, you can be sure that they were created with respect for the environment and care for biodiversity.
