Félix Solís Avantis, Freixenet and Anecoop were among the Spanish companies that were distinguished
The Berliner Wein Trophy results are in for 2018. The following producers from Spain took home special trophies: Best Winegrower – Still Wine: Félix Solís Avantis; Best Winegrower – Sparkling Wine: Freixenet; Best Organic Winegrower: Bodegas Unión Campesina Iniestense; and Best Cooperative: Anecoop Soc. Coop.
Winemakers are invited to submit their samples each year for the Berliner Wine Trophy, and in 2017 there were more than 11,000 submissions.
This event, which is “held in high esteem by wine connoisseurs from around the world,” has become the leading wine competition in Germany and one of its biggest international wine tastings, as winemakers from all over the world compete. The judging panel comprises over 150 people. They meet, the taste, and the deliberate, and on the fourth day they announce the awards.
Winemakers are invited to submit their samples each year for the Berliner Wine Trophy, and in 2017 there were more than 11,000 submissions.More than 4,500 companies will be participating in this momentous event, 27% of which hail from a total of seventy foreign countries.
