ISM, known as the biggest trade fair in the world for snacks and sweets, was recently held in Cologne, Germany from January 27th to the 30th. This leading industry event highlights producers of everything from cookies to confectionary, with more than 38,000 trade professionals and 1,661 exhibitors attending last year’s event. It offers an excellent platform for discussing and exploring market trends and perspectives and for networking with other companies from around the world.
There were dozens of Spanish companies in attendance, including Ludomar Txokolati Group, Agroserc, Vidal Golosinas, Birba Biscuits, Wonkandy, Caramelos Cerdan, Lacasa Group, Golmasa, Ines Rosalés, Ibercacao, Zeta Espacial, Galletas Asinez, Chocolates Simon Coll, Medina Nuts, Horno de San Juan, La Despensa de Palacio, Chocolates Torras, Codan, Torrons Vicens, Tostaderos Sol de Alba, Union Mels, Valentina Snacks, Velarte, Galletas Coral, and Gullon Biscuits. They produce a range of products, including chocolate, candy, cookies, nuts, cakes, pastries, muffins, pretzels, snacks, wafers, and breakfast cereals.
There were several activities organized as part of the fair, including the Cologne Coffee Forum, the ISM Award, New Product Showcase, Sweet Kitchen@ISM, Trend Court@ISM, and the Halal Infopoint. The exhibition space spanned an impressive 110,000 m2.
