The competition in Spain was hosted at the Madrid Chamber of Commerce Catering School, and the team from BonAmb comprised chef Pau García Mas and sommelier Enrique García Albelda. The Spanish restaurant, in Alicante on Spain’s east coast, competed with other heavyweights such as Casa Pepe de la Judería, Camiño do Inglés, Atrio, and El Ermitaño to win the title.

BonAmb will go head-to-head with the teams from restaurants from all over the world: Denmark, the Netherlands, the UK, the US, Belgium and Germany, all of them competing to find the “perfect harmony with sherry wines,” according to diariodejerez.es.
