Two wines from Spain have achieved something truly spectacular, something no other wines from Spain have ever achieved. Two wines, both from Spain’s Andalusia region, received perfect 100 point scores in the prestigious Guía Peñín.
The first wine is Alvear Pedro Ximénez Solera 1830, which is produced by the centuries-old winery Alvear, founded in 1729, in Montilla-Moriles DO. This dessert wine is low in acidity, has a smooth palate, a short finish, and a soft mouthfeel. Its brown-sugar aromas and flavors of white raisin and chocolate make it the perfect accompaniment to a sweet dish.
