Two Spanish Wines Receive Perfect 100-Point Scores in Guía Peñín

The wines, both from Andalusia, are Alvear Pedro Ximénez Solera 1830 and Conde de Aldama Amontillado “Bota No”

Alvear Pedro Ximénez Solera 1830

The second wine with a perfect score is Conde de Aldama Amontillado “Bota No,” from Bodegas Yuste. It’s an Amontillado from Jerez-Xérès-Sherry and Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda DO made with Palomino grapes. This noteworthy wine is extremely aromatic and has notes of toasted hazelnuts, marmalade, plum jam, and walnut husks. It also has hints of nutmeg and exotic wood. In particular, it offers a wonderful mix of spicy, sweet, and salty.

Conde de Aldama Amontillado "Bota NO”

This is the type of recognition that all wines strive for, so these sherries’ perfect score is an extremely notable achievement.
