The Wine and Gourmet Food Expo from Spain in Mexico is the event of the year on Spanish gastronomy and wines, aimed at professionals in the food industry. Organized by Foods&Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España, the exhibition will be held on October 4, 2022, at the Salón Virreyes of the Hotel Camino Real Polanco.

The exhibition will feature the participation of 39 companies (wineries, Spanish companies and Mexican companies importing Spanish products) that will offer a wide variety of wines and gourmet products that guests will have the opportunity to taste and enjoy within the framework of the Exhibition.

The event will take place at Salón Virreyes of the Camino Real Polanco Hotel on October 4. Spanish Michelin-starred chefs will travel from Spain: Chef Ignacio Solana Pérez, Chef Miguel Barrera Barrachina, as well as the Tapas Master, Agen Urigüen and the Paella Master, David Montero. In the More Info section you will find the biographies and trajectories of these prestigious professionals, as well as the dishes that will make up the menus of the hotel's restaurants during those days.

During this magnificent event, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the wide range of companies and products and deepen their knowledge of them thanks to the tastings / workshops that will be organized during the exhibition, all in the incomparable setting of the Salón Terraza Virreyes of the Hotel Camino Real.

Two wine tastings will be held, in which a total of 17 wines that have never been released in Mexico will be tasted. The tastings will focus on two regions and D.O.'s with a great variety and richness of Spanish wines:

  • The first tasting will take place from 12:00-13:00 hrs, it will be given by sommelier Jesús Díez and it will deal with 9 Catalan wines.
  • The second tasting, from 16:00-17:00 hrs, organized by the Toro DO, will be given by the general director of the Regulatory Council of the Toro DO, Rubén Gil, who will show us 8 wines from this designation of origin.
  • In addition, there will also be a Food Seminar from 14:00-15:00 hrs, where sommelier Alejandro Paadín, accompanied by Michelin star chefs Miguel Barrera and Ignacio Solana, will talk about the nutritional and gastronomic benefits of several star products of Spanish gastronomy, such as Iberian products, cheeses, olive oil and canned fish, fused with other elements such as cocoa, tomato and eggplant. The different chefs will prepare five dishes using these ingredients for the tasting of those attending this interesting tasting.
