Spanish Restaurant Tinto Opens for Business in Manchester

The wines and cavas are imported from small Spanish producers, and the owners are committed to serving authentic food

Didsbury, a suburban neighborhood of Manchester, recently welcomed Tinto, a new Spanish restaurant from the team who launched the successful Tapeo & Wine tapas bar.

Tinto, which specializes in cooking food over open flames, has a delicious menu featuring dishes such as whole wild turbot, Menorcan milk-fed lam shoulder and Rubia Gallega chuletón steak, all of which are especially fabulous when prepared using the charcoal grill. Other highlights include Valencia-style paella, charcuterie and cheese boards, Ibérico pork cheeks braised in wine, and black rice with squid and Spanish wild garlic. Say the owners, “We don’t try to please everybody. We just stay truthful to what we believe in,” according to manchestereveningnews.co.uk.

The beverage list is equally impressive, featuring a large selection of beer, gin, sherry, cava and wines, most of which are imported directly from small Spanish producers.

Though Tinto has been open for just a month, it has already become popular with the locals, who praise its great food, excellent service and warm atmosphere.
