Didsbury, a suburban neighborhood of Manchester, recently welcomed Tinto, a new Spanish restaurant from the team who launched the successful Tapeo & Wine tapas bar.
Tinto, which specializes in cooking food over open flames, has a delicious menu featuring dishes such as whole wild turbot, Menorcan milk-fed lam shoulder and Rubia Gallega chuletón steak, all of which are especially fabulous when prepared using the charcoal grill. Other highlights include Valencia-style paella, charcuterie and cheese boards, Ibérico pork cheeks braised in wine, and black rice with squid and Spanish wild garlic. The beverage list is equally impressive, featuring a large selection of beer, gin, sherry, cava and wines, most of which are imported directly from small Spanish producers.
Though Tinto has been open for just a month, it has already become popular with the locals, who praise its great food, excellent service and warm atmosphere.
This new venue is an asador, serving delicious food prepared over open flames, from fish to steak
