Wines from Spain at ProWein 2019
ICEX/Wines from Spain invites you to learn about wines from 237 exhibitors, while also offering an ample program of high-level, extremely diverse guided wine tastings.
On the 25th anniversary of the ProWein Fair, which will take place from March 17–19, 2019, in the German city of Düsseldorf, ICEX/Wines from Spain will present the wines from a record-breaking number of Spanish wineries — 237 to be exact — located throughout nearly all of Spain’s denominations of origin.
Likewise, ICEX/Wines from Spain will have the honor of offering this fair’s professional visitors a multifaceted program of eight high-level, guided wine tastings in collaboration with the wine regions’ Regulatory Boards and emblematic companies.
The program will kick off on Sunday with a tasting of Premium Cavas — whites and rosados — which will compare Gran Reserva cavas with long-aging times with Qualified Single Estate Cava, each a unique cava from a specific vineyard.
On Monday afternoon, the topic will be the excellence of Cava as a “soloist.” Although the majority of cavas are a blend of different grape varieties, there are also single-variety cavas that might be made from either native or international grape varieties like Xarel.lo, Macabeo, or Chardonnay. The curtains open on show-stopping cavas!
