VdT Castilla y León covers all the territory of the Community of Castile-León.

Wines produced are white, rosé and red; liquor wines; wines from overipen grapes, semi-sparkling wines and sparkling wines.

White grapes approved are:

- reccommended: Albillo Mayor, Albillo Real, Viura (or Macabeo) and Verdejo.
- authorized: Rojal (or Malvasía Riojana), Alarije, Albarín Blanco, Albariño, Chardonnay, Malvasía Castellana (or Doña Blanca), Gewürztraminer, Godello, Montúa (or  Chelva), Moscatel de Alejandría, Moscatel de Grano Menudo, Hondarrabi Zuri, Palomino, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Treixadura and Viognier.

Red grapes approved are:

- recommended: Garnacha Tinta, Juan García (or Mouraton), Mencía, Prieto Picudo and Tempranillo (or Tinta Fina, Tinta del País), Tinta de Toro.
- authorized: Bruñal (or Albarín Tinto), Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha Roja (or Garnacha Gris), Garnacha Tintorera, Graciano, Malbec, Merenzao, Merlot, Hondarrabi  Beltza, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Rufete and Syrah.
