Montilla-Moriles Wines and Vinegars Announce Design Contest

The Regulatory Board for PDO’s Montilla-Moriles and Vinagre de Montilla-Moriles is accepting graphic design proposals for its generic wine and vinegar labels.

The competition, which is open to both student and professional graphic designers and artists from within Spain and beyond, was created with the goal of improving the image of the generic packaging used by the Regulatory Board of PDO’s Montilla-Moriles and Vinagre de Montilla-Moriles.

The hope is that the new designs will infuse these quality Spanish products with a more modern look and communications’ strategy, targeting the next generation of Montilla-Moriles wine and vinegar lovers.

Designers have from now until April 6th, 2018, to submit their proposals. The winning designs (front and back labels and capsule) will be used for the generic range of wines – young wines, Fino, Oloroso, Amontillado, Palo Cortado and Pedro Ximénez – and the Pedro Ximénez “Crianza Seco” and “Vinagre de Crianza” vinegars.

While designers have total freedom, their proposals should reflect the values of the Protected Denominations of Origin, more about which can be found at www.montillamoriles.es.

The winner will be chosen by an expert panel representing the Regulatory Board and other related fields, and receive a 2,500 cash prize.
