While many of us are familiar with Cava, you might not know that it had the highest exports of any Spanish DO in 2021. Come find out what the bubbly buzz is all about! There have been many positive changes in recent years: the new zoning plans draw attention to Cava’s distinctive terroirs, while the Cava de Guarda Superior classification elevates the understanding of quality in Spain’s iconic and versatile sparkling wine. Join us to discover what’s happening in this hot bed of quality, diversity, and innovation. Led by a Master Sommelier, this informative session will include wines from five prominent regions showcasing diversity in grapes and styles, punctuated by a few accompanying ‘local’ dishes.
Sommelier-led Varietal Deep-dives
Speed dating has never been more fun! Throughout the afternoon, a trio of Master Sommeliers will take it in turns to conduct a series of 20-minute tastings, each focused on introducing you to a signature Spanish grape variety. Whether a quick sip or lasting love affair, don’t miss this opportunity to become acquainted with some of Spain’s finest! Timing is everything -- these sessions are first-come, first-served.
