Video: Lorusso Basks in The Fruits of Its Artisanal Products
Lorusso brings its passion for high-quality, artisanal foods from Andalusia to the rest of the world.
It has been less than five years since Lorusso launched its line of delectable jams, marmalades, extra virgin olive oils and EVOO Pearls, but what a ride it has been!
In this short time, this Almería-based (Andalusia) enterprise has not only managed to get its products into eleven countries on three continents, but it has also racked up an impressive collection of prestigious recognitions. For starters, Lorusso’s craft marmalades recently won three gold medals and two silvers at the 2019 "World’s Original Marmalade Awards” in the United Kingdom—marking the third year in a row that its products have received top distinctions at these international awards.
Other accolades have included various distinctions for inspiring and innovative packaging, as well as an award for the company’s use of renewable energy. Indeed, this dedication to sustainability forms one of the cornerstones of Lorusso’s philosophy. In addition to using renewable energies for all manufacturing, the company has also been granted organic certification for its products—many of which are sourced either from local farmers, or Lorusso’s own organic trees.
The company’s star products are undoubtedly its large and colorful selection of jams and marmalades, which includes strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, peach, and three types of marmalade (mandarin orange, orange and bitter orange). These 80%-fruit products are made in small batches and packaged by hand. For their part, the extra virgin olive oils are made from the Arbequina and Picual varieties, and the EVOO Pearls consist of tiny spheres of extra virgin olive oil.
In this video, Lorusso’s Business and Sales Manager, Paco Sáez, takes us on a tour of the company’s installations in sunny Andalusia—the origins of these exquisite foods from Spain.
