Disfrutar Joins Ranking of World's Best

The names of those restaurants occupying 51st through 100th place in the annual ranking of the San Pellegrino World's Best Restaurants ranking published by Restaurant Magazine, have been released.


Among those to make the cut on this year's list is Disfrutar, the Barcelona restaurant helmed by Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas, which is making its debut on the ranking at number 55. Just last week this restaurant was also singled out as the recipient of this year's "Miele One to Watch" title, a recognition that is also presented during the framework of the World's Best Restaurants awards.

Other Spanish restaurants found on this half of the ranking included Josean Alija's Nerua restaurant in the Guggenheim Bilbao museum, which came in at number 56; Restaurante Martín Berasategui in Lasarte, which was ranked at 77; and Restaurante Quique Dacosta in Denia, which now occupies 62nd place in the ranking.

The first fifty positions in the ranking will be announced at the World's Best Restaurants Awards ceremony on April 5th in Melbourne, Australia.
