Frozen Conversations 2017

If there's one thing Fernando Sáenz and Angelines González know, it's ice cream.


These two Spanish master ice cream makers behind acclaimed Rioja ice cream company Obrador Grate will be discussing the ins and outs of this topic and more at the upcoming edition of Conversaciones Heladas on May 30th.

This year's program for these "frozen conversations" will be steered by eight speakers, which – in addition to chefs Luis Lera (Restaurante Lera) and Santi Taura (Restaurante Dins Santi Taura) –are heavy on participants from the fields of design and architecture. They will be discussing the topics of "identity and territory", which comprise the themes of this year's conference.

Obrador de Grate is the famous workshop that supplies the Della Sera Ice Cream parlor in Logroño as well as many of the country’s best chefs. The workshop has been dedicated to the creation of frozen delights based on local ingredients, flavors and cuisine from La Rioja since 2002, and it has been hosting Conversaciones Heladas annually since 2012.
