This leading culinary event attracts some of the biggest names in Spain to share their knowledge and connect with other trade professionals

Chefs Head to Northern Spain for Fòrum Gastronòmic Girona

Fòrum Gastronòmic Girona is almost upon us, and will run from November 18th to the 20th at the Palau de Fires i Palau de Congressos in Girona. This is a leading, innovative event for food professionals which welcomes attendees from all over Europe. Last year the fair had more than 25,000 visitors, over 250 exhibitors, and more than 100 speakers.

There will be many different activities and workshops organized over the 3-day event, with specific areas focused on business, sweets, wine, science and health.  There will be presentations on ice cream, with Rafa Delgado; on cocktails, with Mariona Vilanova; on pastries, with Miquel Guarro; on ancestral wines, with Carles Alonso; on creativity, flavor and tradition, with Jordi Roca; and on vegetables, with Xavier Pellicer, among many others. There will also be a tasting of wines from Catalonia, led by Agustí Ensesa, along with other wine activities. International chefs will be in attendance, as will some of Spain’s biggest names, like Pepe Solla, Josep Roca and Nando Jubany.

Additionally, on the first day of the forum, the Fòrum Gastronòmic Chef of 2018 will be announced to recognize an up-and-coming chef with great ideas who uses local products and is committed to sustainable cooking.
