Spanish superchef José Andrés is gearing up to open his famous Jaleo restaurant in Disney Springs, but he’s got another surprise up his sleeve for Spanish food fans.

One of his other very popular projects in DC, his Pepe food truck, will also be heading to sunny Florida, and will be turned into a permanent location at Disney Springs as well.

Although there’s no official date yet, it’s expected to open in parallel with Jaleo. Said the chef, “Pepe has my favorite bocatas from all across Spain, and I look forward to sharing them with guests at Disney Springs,” according to orlandoweekly.com.

Pepe has an extensive menu which includes dishes like Spanish grilled cheese, with Valdeón, Manchego, Murcia, fresh goat’s cheese and quince jelly; roasted eggplant with mojo rojo sauce, sweet onions, spinach and red peppers; Spanish pork burger with alioli and brava sauce; beef tenderloin with caramelized onion, piquillo pepper confit and blue cheese; fried chicken with lettuce, piparra peppers, alioli and brava sauce, and seared Iberico pork with Serrano ham, green peppers, caramelized onions and alioli. Pepe was listed among the top 101 food trucks in America for 2018.

José Andrés is an award-winning chef with multiple projects in the works at the moment. Not only is he opening Jaleo at Disney Springs, but he’s also working with the Adrià brothers to open a massive Spanish food hall in New York City.
