From September 27th until November 3rd, guests at Raffles Istanbul can enjoy a spectacular pop-up dining experience called “The Magical World of Paco Roncero". This new project, which “takes the hotel’s culinary program to a theatrical new level… takes guests on an enchanting culinary journey, skillfully curated by one of the leading representatives of Spanish avant-garde cuisine,” according to breakingtravelnews.com.
This entails three different concepts across the hotel. The first is Roncero’s tapas at Paco’s Bar & Lounge. For this, the chef prepared a four-course a la carte tapas menu served in the hotel’s lounge. Highlights include foie gras with gingerbread cakes, sea bass ceviche, and goat cheese donuts.
The second is a six-course tasting menu, served in the main dining room. This is geared towards those people who want to sample Roncero’s highly imaginative menu, which includes sea bass pil pil, salmon and miso ice cream cones, and veal ribs with mole sauce.
The third is a 360-degree multi-sensory dining experience for 14 guests with live projections, held in a private dining room. This unique and surreal experience offers diners an “interactive and thought-provoking” 10-course tasting menu. Dishes include the “millennial olive tree,” coconut and dried pepper shrimp, lamb cheek taco, and red bean sandwich, among others.
All of the Michelin-star chef’s menus will be paired with Moët’s Dom Pérignon champagnes, and the company’s eagerly anticipated Vintage 2002 Plentitude 2 will be served for the very first time at Raffles Istanbul as part of this event.
