5 Spanish Chefs to Attend Bogotá Madrid Fusion in Colombia

 Joan Roca, Quique Dacosta, Maca de Castro, Nacho Manzano and Mario Sandoval are among the chefs scheduled to speak at the event.

 

The very first edition of Bogotá Madrid Fusion is around the corner, and will run from November 7th to the 10th. The four-day event, which is being organized by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and Vocento, will aim to become one of the leading fairs of its kind for haute cuisine in South America. The tagline is “A gastronomic continent,” and the event will include presentations and professional workshops, networking opportunities, an exhibition featuring over 100 companies, and a fair open to the public. More than 10,000 people are expected to attend and experience cuisines from all over the world, including Spanish food.

Twenty high-profile international chefs will also participate, five of which are from Spain: Mario Sandoval, from Coque; Joan Roca, from El Cellar de Can Roca; Nacho Manzano, from Casa Marcial; Maca de Castro, from Maca de Castro; and Quique Dacosta, from Quique Dacosta. Together the Spaniards hold 11 Michelin stars.

In parallel with the forum, special meals will be held across the city for several weeks, including four-hands dinners featuring local and international chefs. This event is modeled after the world-famous Madrid conference, and the format has also been exported to Tokyo, Mexico and Manila.
