Raffles Hotel in Warsaw is the place to be on February 19th, as it’s set to host a very special 4-hands dinner from two culinary heavyweights: Josean Alija, from the Nerua Guggenheim restaurant in Bilbao, and Beñat Alonso, from Hotel Europejski in the Polish capital.

Attendees will include key opinion leaders, members of the media, and also the general public. Guests will dine on an exceptional menu featuring nine different dishes, all of them paired with wines from Spain. Each chef will put his creative ideas on full display while preparing traditional Spanish dishes.

Alija first fell in love with cooking when he was 17, and over the years he has developed his own unique avant-garde style, which he expertly combines with tradition. He is strongly committed to using local products and giving them pride of place in his cooking, and he has won several awards, among them 2011 Chef de L’Avenir, the 2009 Best Chef Award Identité Golose Gourmet Summit, and the 2006 Basque Gastronomy Award for the Best Restaurateur. Raffles Europejski Hotel is a luxury venue and Beñat Alonso is the executive chef at the restaurant. He also has experience at other luxury hotels, such as the Hotel Windsor in Australia and The Berkeley in London. Both chefs are from the Basque Country, but will each put their unique spin on the final menu.
