Spanish Companies Head to California for Natural Products Expo West

Producers of spices, olive oil, nuts and chocolate will show their wares at the largest organic trade fair in the US and possibly the world

Spanish companies are heading to California to showcase their products as part of Natural Products Expo West. Taking place in Anaheim, from March 5th to the 9th, this event is the largest trade fair for organic products in the US, and potentially in all of the world. It’s also extremely popular and is expected to attract over 85,000 visitors and around 3,500 exhibitors from more than 130 countries.

More than 20 companies from Spain will participate in the fair. They include Aceites Guadalentin, Oleoestepa, Soler Romero Organic Olive Oil, and Finca Duernas (extra virgin olive oil), Legumbres Luengo (beans), Chiquilin Organic Spices (paprika, saffron and other spices), Biocomercio (nuts, mainly organic almonds and pistachios), Natra (chocolate), Manolet (almonds), Indi Essences (organic, artisanal soft drinks and water), and Herbo Spice Group (spices and condiments), among others.

The organic sector is in constant growth and Spain is increasing its role. It’s a leader in the growth of its organic product market and it has the largest area in the world allocated to organic production. The organic sector is extremely important in the US, which accounts for 50% of global demand for these types of products, followed by Europe.

Spanish companies’ participation is being organized by Foods from Spain, the Spanish Embassy’s Economic and Commercial Office in New York, and ICEX Spain Trade and Investment.
