With a rating of 95 out of 100, this one-of-a-kind Menorca-made spirit stands out for the production process by which it’s made and for its incredible, intense flavor. Handcrafted in small batches using traditional, artisan techniques and a centuries-old recipe, the juniper used is gathered from the nearby mountains and is aged for 1 to 4 years in open crates, and the wood-fired copper stills are between 70 and 170 years old. These features, among others, give it its unique character. It has notes of spring herbs, hot sand, and forest flowers.
This is an ideal gin for gin and tonic as it coats the palate quite perfectly and the flavor persists even when combined with a bitter mixer. Other gins that made the grade come from countries across the globe, such as Marconi 42, from Italy; Nilgiris, from India; Barr Hill, from the US; and Gin Lane 1751, from England.
