Fórum Gastronómico Barcelona to Bring Together Over 30 Michelin Stars
This year’s edition of Fórum Gastronómico Barcelona will further cement the event’s standing as a leading industry conference. The tagline will be “Re(thinking) gastronomy,” a reference to the goal of reflecting on the current situation in the sector, highlighting talent and promoting more sustainable businesses. It will be held from November 18th to the 20th at Fira de Barcelona.
This event is expected to drawn an impressive crowd of trade professionals, which will include 45 chefs, who together hold more than 30 Michelin stars, and around 300 companies, which will attend to exhibit their products. Attendees will share their latest innovations and discuss many of the current sector trends visible in Europe. Expected attendance has already exceeded expectations, and 10,000 square meters of space will be allotted for the forum.
The following Spanish chefs will offer cooking demos: Paco Pérez, Jordi Cruz, Carme Ruscalleda, Sergio y Javier Torres, Enrique Valentí, and Oliver Peña. Others will participate in presentations such as “Talent knows no gender,” which will be headlined by Lucía Freitas, Ada Parellada, and María José San Román; and “Barcelona: trends and new formats in hospitality,” led by Artur Martínez, Jon Giraldo, and Sergi Palacín.
There will also be workshops on different topics, such as restaurants with gardens, offal, and fish and sustainability, and demos from expert dessert makers such as Pol Contreras, Xano Saguer and Jordi Butron.
