Albariño Festival Returns to Galicia

The annual Rías Baixas wine event was a huge success in Cambados, filled of the wonderful wines from this region and their star white grape, Albariño.

From August 2–5th, visitors to the lovely seaside town of Cambados (Galicia) undoubtedly made their way to the Fiesta del Vino Albariño 2018, an outdoor festival that was held along the town’s Paseo da Calzada, featuring forty-two stands and forty-four wineries.

Additionally, the Regulatory Board of Denomination of Origin Rías Baixas also hosted its annual "Wine Tunnel" – which boasted more than 150 wines – and the parallel tasting event where ten wineries offered twelve different guided tastings.

In the spirit of these events, the president of the Regulatory Board of DO Rías Baixas commented, “Our wines are more and more valued and recognized all the time, not only abroad, but also here (in Spain). And this is why this festival receives more and more visitors every year.”
