Annual Wines from Spain Tasting in London to Feature 1,000 Wines

Spanish wines will be taking over London’s Sky Garden on March 7th with the annual Wines from Spain tasting, now in its 30th edition. This event will bring together Spanish wine portfolios from almost 60 importers and exporters, and attendees will be able to sample a wide variety of wines currently on the market as well as hot new releases. An impressive 1,000 wines from 300 different wineries will be on display—including biodynamic, vegan and organic wines—reflecting the diversity of Spain’s wine styles, varieties and DOs.

A series of tutorials will also be organized, including one by Sarah Jane Evans MW, who will talk about innovation in Spanish winemaking. She will highlight five new wine styles currently being produced in Spain.

There will also be a tutorial on the white Verdejo grape, which comes from Rueda, and it will include a tasting of newer Verdejos as well as older vintages.

The morning session of the tasting will be open to trade professionals and the general public will have the chance to attend in the afternoon.
