Spanish Professionals Nominated for International Gastronomy Academy

Gregorio Varela Moreiras and Abel Valverde have been nominated to the Grand Prix of the International Gastronomy Academy.

The prestigious International Gastronomy Academy has published the list of nominees for the 2018 edition of its prestigious awards.

Two gastronomy professionals from Spain have been included on this international list.The first is Gregorio Varela Moreiras, the president of the Fundación Española de Nutrición, who is nominated to the category of "Grand Prix de la Science de l’Alimentation", a category that recognizes people and institutions from all over the world that work actively to promote gastronomy and alimentation.

The other is Abel Valverde, the maître'd of Madrid's Santceloni restaurant, who has been nominated for the Grand Prix de l'Art de la Salle award, a recognition that was once held by legendary Spanish maître'd Juli Soler.

The winners will be chosen during the upcoming General Assembly of the International Gastronomy Academy, to be held in Paris this February 5th.

Two gastronomy professionals from Spain have been included on this international list.
