The leading gourmet food and beverage fair Salón de Gourmets is around the corner, and will run from April 8th to the 11th. A wide range of products will take center stage for this one, including poultry, baked goods, wine, liquor, beverages, meat, seafood, processed and packaged foods and dairy products.
This huge event, which is now in its 32nd edition, will welcome trade professionals from all over the world, with 74,000 visitors attending and more than 1,000 exhibitors expected to showcase their products over the course of the 4-day event.
There will be a wide range of activities, including several competitions such as GourmetQuesos, to find the best cheeses in Spain; an orujo cocktail competition; an oyster opening competition; an Ibérico ham carving competition; a competition to find the best sommelier; a competition to find the best dish prepared with extra virgin olive oil; and a beer pouring competition. There will also be roundtable discussions on gourmet foods and wines; several wine tasting areas and cooking demos; and spaces that aim to educate people about extra virgin olive oil as well as wine.
Hosted at IFEMA, this event is on every trade professional and foodie’s calendar. It’s a diverse fair that attracts people from every corner of the globe and helps shine a light on Spain’s extensive gourmet food and beverage industry.
